GuardianPD Terms of Service

These terms govern use of GuardianPD, a QR-code-based school pickup/drop-off attendance system ("GuardianPD", "we", "us"). By enrolling a school, creating a staff account, or using the GuardianPD app or web console, you agree to these terms.

The service

GuardianPD lets a school ("Customer") enroll guardians and children, issue signed QR credentials, and record drop-off/pick-up events by scanning those credentials. Guardians receive notifications when their child is scanned in or out. Full details of what data this involves are in our Privacy Policy.

Accounts and responsibilities

• A school's Master Admin account is created when the school enrolls. That School Admin is responsible for the accuracy of guardian and child records entered into the system, and for managing School Staff accounts.
• School Staff accounts may only be used to scan QR credentials for attendance purposes.
• Guardians are responsible for keeping their printed or shared QR credential secure and reporting a lost credential to the school promptly.
• You agree not to use GuardianPD to enroll or track individuals without the appropriate authority to do so (e.g., a school enrolling a child in its own care, a parent/legal guardian activating their own account).

Billing

Schools are billed 500 NGN per enrolled child per 30-day period, calculated automatically from the number of children enrolled at billing time. Payment is processed by Paystack. Invoices are payable by the due date shown; unpaid invoices may result in the school's subscription being suspended, which disables QR credential issuance and scanning until the account is brought current and reactivated. Suspension does not delete any data. See our Refund Policy for cancellations and refunds.

Acceptable use

You may not use GuardianPD to attempt to bypass the authorization checks it performs, to forge or tamper with QR credentials, to access another school's data, or to interfere with the service's normal operation.

Data ownership

A school's guardian, child, staff, and attendance records belong to that school. GuardianPD acts as the technology provider processing that data on the school's behalf, as described in our Privacy Policy. A school may request an export or deletion of its data by contacting us.

Availability and changes

We aim to keep GuardianPD available and reliable, but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may update or change features of the service over time. We'll make reasonable efforts to notify schools of material changes that affect how they use it.

Limitation of liability

GuardianPD is a tool to assist with attendance tracking and authorization checks — it does not replace a school's own pickup/drop-off policies and staff judgment. To the fullest extent permitted by law, GuardianPD is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the service.

Termination

A school may stop using GuardianPD at any time by contacting us to deactivate their account. We may suspend or terminate access for violation of these terms or for non-payment, as described above.

Changes to these terms

If we make material changes to these terms, we will update the "last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify schools through the app or by email.
